Editorial policy
Trust depends on showing our working: clear explanations, careful distinctions and visible corrections when something is wrong. Rising Kitchen Journal aims to give readers a fair account, not to sell them a preferred way of cooking.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against reliable information appropriate to the subject and distinguish explanation from opinion. We avoid claims of testing or expertise we cannot substantiate, and we note meaningful limits, uncertainty and context where they affect the reader's understanding.
Independence and commercial material
Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to satisfy a commercial partner. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
When readers identify a substantive error, we review it and correct it where warranted. Corrections are made plainly, with enough context for readers to understand what changed; minor wording edits that do not alter meaning may be made without a separate notice.
Images and illustrations
Images should support the subject without misleading readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, they are identified as illustrations rather than presented as documentary photographs.
Good cooking starts with better questions
A tool is not a skill, a label is not a verdict, and a recipe is not a law. We look at what each choice actually does.
